Habitats

Every environment contains many different habitats. A habitat is the area where organisms live out their lives, including the biotic and abiotic factors that affect all of the organisms in the area.

Above is a picture of a habitat that is found underground. Here, you can see termites, ants, and worms. These organisms spend most of their lives here. The dirt provides shelter for them and protection from rain.

Above is a picture of an aquatic habitat. This pond is located in the middle of the park, and is home to many types of different fish and turtles as well. Many land animals drink from here to stay hydrated, and some even get food from under the water.

Above is a picture of a habitat that is found on top of the dirt and soil. Here, roly polies and other kinds of beetles can be found. They eat the leaves they are found on the ground. They constantly roam around the top of the soil looking for food.
